BENGALURU: The city police are planning to issue a new set of directives for New Year’s celebrations post-Covid 19 to avoid untoward incidents in the city.
The new plan includes certain changes in the public celebrations on Brigade Road and MG Road and senior police officers are planning to present it at a meeting with Bengaluru City Commissioner Pratap Reddy. As per the new plan, preparations will be made to allow celebrations from Brigade Road to Anil Kumble Circle and on MG Road, sources revealed.
The new plan has been proposed to prevent some people from misbehaving with women during the celebration, as earlier, several unpleasant incidents had occurred. If permission is granted to celebrate New Year’s Eve in in more areas, it can lead to unpleasant incidents, they believe.
