BENGALURU: The Bengaluru police are on alert after the murder case of Renukaswamy by actor Darshan’s gang. The Central Crime Branch police (CCB) police are keeping a close watch on the fan following groups of the city’s notorious rowdies.

The Bengaluru police have taken notice of the increasing number of fan pages on social media platforms, particularly Instagram, that glorify rowdyism and criminal activity. These pages, which have thousands of followers, are promoting violent behaviour and encouraging young people to engage in criminal activity. Some pages on Instagram including ‘N Boss’, ‘S Boss’, ‘C Boss’ have been created for rowdies.

The police have identified several notorious rowdies, including Wilson Garden Naga, Silent Sunil and Cycle Ravi, who have fan pages dedicated to them. The police are working with the cyber crime department to delete these pages and groups.

The police have received several complaints about these pages and are taking action to curb the glorification of rowdyism, and they are now acting on blocking history sheeters on fan pages. Some of them are posting things like Bangalore Don and Underworld Don on the page. The youth are attracted to rowdyism because of such pages and hence the police have launched a crackdown.
