CHIKKAMAGALUR: A youth who was among a group of four who were visiting the picturesque tourist spot Devaramane here has mysteriously gone missing after an argument with his companions.
Dixit (27), a native of Koyyur village in Belthangady taluk, had gone to Devaramane along with three of his friends from Dakshina Kannada district. Near Guddethota, they stopped their car and had an argument after which an angry Dixit refused to get into the vehicle. He has since been missing.
The police and the Forest Department personnel conducted a search for Dixit all through the night, but were not able to locate him. The incident occurred in Banakal police limits.
