UDUPI: A beggar allegedly sexually assaulted a fiver-year-old girl near the PPC College here on Friday evening. His movements were captured on CCTV camera and police are on the lookout for him.
The unidentified man, allegedly lured the victim, the daughter of vegetable sellers, from near their shop, when she was playing with another child, by offering her chocolates. The accused allegedly took to girl to a small bylane beside the vegetable shop and sexually assaulted her.
When the other girl came looking for the victim, the accused fled. The victim then narrated what had happened to her parents who filed a complaint with the women’s police station. Further investigation is under way.
