BENGALURU: The Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) road is one of the busiest in the city, with lakhs of vehicles plying on it every day. The road connecting Hebbal, Bagalur and Outer Ring Road is particularly prone to heavy traffic. To alleviate this, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has proposed an elevated corridor from Hebbal Junction to Bagaluru.
The elevated corridor will bring relief to commuters traveling through areas like Chikka Gubbi, Kothanur, Hebbal, Bagaluru, Outer Ring Road and Byrati. The project will also provide a convenient route to the airport and is expected to complete it this year.
