BENGALURU: In some cheer for Bengalureans, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is planning to deliver e-khatas to the doorsteps of applicants. This comes even as many are struggling to apply for e-khatas and download it.

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is working on delivering e-khata to approved applicants from February 10. Out of 20 crore property owners, only 1.45 crore have visited the e-khata website, and 10.34 lakh have received draft certificates. Only 1.5 lakh have downloaded the final e-khata.

The BBMP suspects that some individuals may be downloading e-khata on behalf of others, raising concerns about authenticity. Chief Commissioner Tushar Giri Nath has announced that e-jhata will be delivered to approved applicants’ homes starting February 10. The BBMP aims to resolve e-khata issues before distribution.

People are struggling to obtain e-khata, and the BBMP is taking various steps to address these issues before distribution. The BBMP will approve pending e-hata applications and ensure that they reach the rightful owners.

Tushar Giri Nath said, “We will hold a press conference on February 15, through that, we will distribute e-khatas. We were giving priority for properties being sold. Henceforth, the BBMP officials will come to the doorstep and will continue the service on the response of the people. We will try to increase the efficiency too”.
