BBMP offers Rs 1 lakh to create social media reels on dengue awareness

BENGALURU: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Health Department has announced an exciting opportunity for creators of social media reels. The Palike has issued a public notice inviting content creators to produce reels on dengue awareness, with prizes to be won.

As dengue cases and deaths continue to rise across the state, including Bengaluru, the BBMP Health Department is intensifying its efforts to raise awareness about the disease. Through its ‘Protect, Prevent, Stop Dengue’ campaign, the BBMP is encouraging the public to become ‘Dengue Warriors’ by creating reels on social media.

The top five winners reels will receive a prize of Rs 25,000 each, while the next five winners will receive Rs 10,000 each as second prize. Educational institution with the highest number of student participants will receive a prize of Rs 1 lakh, and teachers who encourage students to create awareness videos will receive Rs 35,000.

As per the guidelines, to participate, creators must tag the BBMP Health Department on Facebook and Twitter (X) and create informative reels about dengue awareness. All participants will be recognised as ‘Dengue Warriors’ by the BBMP Health Department. Those who make reels with more information about dengue will be rewarded accordingly, it said.
