BENGALURU: Worried that your property maybe on encroached land and you don’t know what to do?

With the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) launching a war against encroachment of rajakaluves in the city, some residents are unsure if their houses are built on encroached land. For the benefit of property owners, the Palike, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) and the Real Estate Research Institute (RERI) has launched a portal wherein one can find out encroachments in their area.

How to use Portal?

Go to Google, type in www.rajakaluve.org

Alternatively, type rajakaluve encroachment in the Google search bar

It will direct you to www.rajakaluve.org

Enter address, taluk, hobli, and village name where your property is located

Site will show you a list of encroachments of rajakaluves will be displayed

Based on the address given by the user, the rajakaluve in that area will be visible in blue. The user can trace the encroachment by entering the property ID and find out if it is in the area where the water flows.

The portal is BBMP’s attempt to give property owner more clarity on the status of encroachment at a time when the civic body is taking up a massive encroachment clearance drive in the aftermath of the flooding last week after incessant rain.
