BENGALURU: Ahead of its annual budget, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has invited suggestions from citizens for inclusion in the budget 2024-25.
The BBMP is making preparation for drafting the budged and suggestions have been invited from residents’ welfare associations, civil society organisations and the general public, as directed by Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar. A suggestion box has been placed near the main entrance of the BBMP headquarters for citizens to submit their suggestions to the corporation.
Bengaluru residents can submit their budget ideas till February 10. The exercise can be helpful in finding solutions to many problems, including road, drainage and garbage issues. Last time, they BBMP had a budget outlay of about Rs 11,000 crore and it is likely that the size of budget may increase owing to projects under the ‘Brand Bengaluru’ initiative.
