BENGALURU: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has filled 1,429 potholes with asphalt in two days in the city.
After a series of accidents, the BBMP started to fill potholes with asphalt in five of the eight zones in the city. According to reports, more number of potholes were filled in the South, East and West zones of the city. On Saturday, potholes were filled in the Bommanahalli and Mahadevapura zones.
A total of 27 loads of bitumen were procured from the BBMP’s asphalt mixing unit and private units, and 570 potholes were filled on Sunday. Till Saturday evening, the corporation procured 27 loads of bitumen and asphalt mix and filled 550 potholes. On Saturday night, the BBMP procured 17 loads of bitumen and 309 potholes were filled.
