BENGALURU: BBMP Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao has instructed officials to repair footpaths leading to Metro stations and evict all encroachments. During his inspection in Bommanahalli zone, Rao directed officials to clear encroachments and fix damaged footpaths.
Rao, who visits all eight zones daily, emphasized that no footpath should be encroached upon or damaged. He instructed zonal commissioners to ensure repairs and maintenance, particularly of footpaths connecting Metro stations, to facilitate smooth pedestrian movement.
Rao also directed officials to issue notices to those who have encroached upon footpaths and take action to remove the encroachments.
