Bar cashier murdered for refusing to serve snack with liquor

KOLAR: A 45-year-old bar cashier was stabbed to death by a youth in Lakkur village of Malur taluk for refusing to serve a snack (mixture) with alcohol. The victim Kumar worked at Ashok Wines bar in the village.

The dispute escalated and the accused Subhash allegedly stabbed Kumar to death in front of his wife and children as he was leaving the bar and heading home.

The accused stabbed the cashier with a glass bottle and a knife, according to the bar staff. The police are now on the lookout for Subhash, and a case has been registered at the Malur police station.
