BENGALURU: A bank employee, who had gone to recover dues, was attacked with a stone by a borrower, Ramesh, at Annapoorneshwari Nagar in the city.
Ramesh had borrowed a loan, but had not paid his EMIs for two months. When the bank staffer, Chandan, tried to reach out to Ramesh over the phone, he refused to receive the calls. Finally, when he received the call and asked Chandan to meet him near the Nagarabhavi BDA Complex.
When Chandan reached the spot, an argument ensued between the two over the loan repayment. Ramesh, who was alone at the time, attacked Chandan in the head with a stone and escaped.
Chandan suffered serious head injuries and was admitted to a private hospital. A case has been registered at the Annapoorneshwari Nagar police station regarding the incident.
