KOLAR: The Bangarpet police have arrested 11 people after two groups clashed over a trivial issue during the Ganesha idol immersion. The incident had occurred at Ayyappa Swamy Circle in the town on September 10.
Four people had sustained injuries after two groups from Amaravathi Layout and Railway Quarters had clashed. The two groups had clashed the previous day too during the Ganesha idol procession at Palava Thimmanahalli (Railway Quarters).
After a video of the clash started doing the rounds on social media, the Bangarpet police arrested 11 people and registered cases for unauthorised assembly and assault against more than 30 people and are on the lookout for them.
