BALLARI: Ballari Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammed Zubair, who was travelling to Nittur village in Siruguppa taluk on Monday, got off his car on seeing farmers involved in sowing paddy and joined them in the activity.
The additional DC was travelling on official work when he saw some farmers sowing paddy. The ADC spontaneously stopped his car, rolled up his trousers and got into the paddy field to plant the paddy saplings.
The tahsildar, revenue inspector and other officials who were accompanying the ADC, also tried their hand at sowing paddy. The ADC later also interacted with the farmers and heard their grievances. The farmers were thrilled that the officer had not forgotten farming practices and gave them a patient hearing.
