Bal Bhavan in Cubbon Park drawing crowds after renovation

CM Basavaraj Bommai inaugurated renovated Bal Bhavan.
BENGALURU: The Bal Bhavan in Cubbon Park is a favourite spot for children for fun and games. Recently, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai inaugurated the Bal Bhavan after renovation under Smart City project.
During the lockdown, the Bal Bhavan was kept closed to the public. Before Covid, a lot of children used to visit Bal Bhavan. Now, the children-friendly park has been opened again and is attracting kids.
There are row, pedal and motorboats for boat rides, Gazebo island, Express Toy train, wall climbing, commando bridge, zipline, Burma bridge, fountains and fun games at the park.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that after renovation, more amusement and recreational facilities have been added for the benefit of children.
Naveen Kumar, a parent, said, “Cubbon Park was closed during the Covid period. Now it is open for kids and more recreational facilities have been added. This is the best place for children to spend the weekend. We have planned to come twice a month. Children enjoy in the the company of other children and  have a lot of fun”.
Another parent Ashwini said, “I am very happy to see this place after the renovation. I would say, this is the best place for kids to enjoy their vacation”.
