MANGALURU: A Bajrang Dal leader was found dead at the Panemangalore Netravati River in Bantwal taluk on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Poojary (26).
Local residents found an abandoned motorcycle on the old bridge in Panemangalore and reported it to the police. Fire and Emergency Services personnel and a drowning expert later found the body after a search in the river.
Locals have raised suspicions about his death, questioning whether it was a suicide or accident. A case has been registered at the Bantwal Rural police station and further investigation is under way.
