BENGALURU: Eighteen people from Karnataka, who were caught in the conflict between Israel and Iran, were airlifted safely under Operation Sindhu and reached Bengaluru on Thursday.
Those to returned to the city include 18 members of Bangalore Political Action Committee (B.PAC), non-profit organisation, who were stuck in Israel.
The B.PAC team was in Israel for a study tour, but got stuck after an emergency was declared. On Wednesday night, they reached Kuwait and arrived in Bengaluru on Thursday.
Another group of five Kannadigas who were in Iran and were rescued through Armenia were delayed in arriving at Delhi as the flight was cancelled. It is expected that the group will arrive later in the day or on Friday.
