BENGALURU: A youth was brutally attacked after a scuffle outside a bar in Chamarajpet late on Saturday night, resulting in him losing a leg. He is now undergoing treatment at the Victorial Hospital.
The victim Tejas suffered grievous injuries on the neck and his leg. When police arrived on the scene, he was found in a pool of blood at Rudrappa Garden in Chamarajpet.
Tejas, who is a resident of KP Agraha and works as an autorickshaw driver, had gone to Manju Bar in Chamarajpet along with his friend Santosh where they were consuming alcohol. At that time, Rahul and Prajwal, who are Santoshs’ friends, also arrived at the bar.
An argument broke out between Santhosh, Rahul and Prajwal when Tejas intervened on behalf of Santosh. When he was about to get into his autorickshaw to head home, the miscreants attacked him with a machete, leaving him grievously injured.
The Chamarajpet police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the attackers.
