BENGALURU: Auto LPG price has shots up by Rs 10 per litre in just two days, leaving drivers in distress. The sudden price hike has left auto drivers frowning. A poster at a Yeshwanthpur LPG bunk reads, ‘No discount, no offers. Please cooperate with the price hike’.

Drivers are struggling as bunk operators claim they aren’t receiving full supplies, and prices are rising. “We don’t know when the next load will arrive,” said a bunk staff member.

The Govardhan LPG bunk has closed down due to a severe supply shortage. The staff say they’ve been receiving daily loads till Wednesday, but nothing’s arrived since. “We’re not sure when the next load will come,” said a staffer. The bunk, which used to be open 24/7, is now struggling to cope with the shortage.

“Earlier, we’d get as much as we asked for. Now, we’re only getting half a ton,” said an LPG bunk staff member. “We can’t keep selling that little amount for long. Auto drivers are already getting angry with us over the shortage”, he said.
