KOPPAL: At least 31 people suffered injuries after a Tata Ace vehicle carrying NREGA workers from Mustur village panchayat overturned near Baraguru Cross in Karatagi taluk of Koppal district. The workers were traveling to their workplace in the vehicle when the accident occurred.
Three people sustained serious injuries, while 28 others suffered minor injuries. The seriously injured were taken to hospitals in Hubballi and Koppal’s KIMS, while the others were sent to Gangavati Taluk Hospital.
On receiving information about the accident, Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi visited the hospital to check on the injured workers. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Karatagi police station.
