MUZAFFARPUR (Bihar): At least 10 people are missing after a boat overturned in Muzaffarpur’s Bagmati river in Bihar, said an official on Thursday. Meanwhile, 15-20 people were rescued so far, the official added.

“There is information about 10 persons missing, 15-20 persons have been rescued so far. Search operation is under way”, said Ajay Kumar, Disaster Management officer, Muzaffarpur, while speaking to reporters.
“The incident took place between 10.30 am and 11 am. today. Teams of NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) and SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) rushed to the accident site”, added Kumar. Further details are awaited.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the affected families would be provided assistance. “The District Magistrate of Muzaffarpur is investigating the incident. The families of those affected in this accident will be provided assistance by the government,” said CM Nitish Kumar while speaking to reporters. (ANI)
