Assam CM visits Gavi Siddeshwara Mutt, takes part in Vijay Sankalp Yatra

KOPPAL: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who was here to take part in the Vijay Sankalp Yatra on Monday, visited the Gavi Siddeshwara Mutt and had darshan of the gadduge. Later, he also spent some time talking to the Abhinava Gavi Siddeshwara Swami about the mutt traditions, its history and the significance of the Gavi Siddeshwara mutt fair.

Earlier, the Assam CM took the blessings of Abhinava Gavi Siddeshwara Swami.

Sarma also inquired with the seer about the food arrangements for devotees and students at the mutt. On his part, the seer also inquired about the prevailing situation in Assam and the lives of common people. Sarma also invited the seer to Assam.

Himanta Biswa Sarma also took part in the Vijay Sankalp Yatra.

Later, he participated in the Vijay Sankalp Yatra along with Ministers Anand Singh B Sriramulu and other BJP leaders. They also took out a roadshow from Chennabasaveshwara Circle to Gandhi Circle where Sarma lambasted the Congress. He also appealed to people to vote for the BJP for the sake of development of Anjanadri Hills and the state.

Interestingly, Sriramulu sought votes in favour of the party candidate where his close friend G Janardhana Reddy plans to contest from.
