Aspirants attending PDO recruitment exam stage protest, block road in Sindhanur alleging question paper leak

RAICHUR: Candidates who had came for Panchayat Development Officers (PDO) recruitment staged protest outside the Government Degree College in Sindhanur alleging that the question paper was leaked and that the examination was delayed. They also claimed that only 12 question papers were provided by the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) for 24 students in one room.

The incident has raised about leakage of the question paper for the recruitment of 97 PDO posts in the Kalyana Karnataka region. The competitive exam was scheduled today across 298 centres in the Kalyana Karnataka region.

 

According to candidates, 24 candidates were allowed to write the exam in one room, but the KPSC had sent only 12 question papers instead of 24 question papers. Not only that, the bundles were opened while being brought to the room. Apart from that, the aspirants alleged that the exam started later than the scheduled time.

The protesters, including candidates who had come from Bidar, Kalaburagi, Yadgir and Raichur, protested blocking Kushtagi-Sindhanur Road. The police are investigating the matter. The exam was conducted across various centres in Bidar, Kalaburagi, Yadgir, Raichur, Vijayanagara, Ballari, Koppal, and other taluks.

Out of 99,107 registered candidates, many protested, blocking the Kushatgi-Sindhanur road. The police are verifying the allegations.
