ASHA workers distribute Congress pamphlets in Attibele, confronted by BJP activists

BENGALURU: Some Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) workers were allegedly distributing pamphlets of Congress Lok Sabha candidate from Bangalore Rural constituency in Attibele of Anekal taluk ahead of polling April 26.

The pamphlets, meant for distribution in Anekal Assembly constituency, have the pictures of Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy CM D K Shivakumar, Congress Lok Sabha candidate D K Suresh, Shivanna and other leaders. It also has images of the Congress guarantees.

The ASHA workers were reportedly distributing the pamphlets in Ward 5 of Attibele municipal corporation and were confronted by BJP activists. A video of the incident was shared on social media in which two ASHA workers can be seen with bundles of pamphlets withthem. However, one of the ASHA workers can be heard saying that they were only conducting a survey for issuance of ration cards.
