An ardent fan of late actor Appu dies after cardiac arrest, while watching Puneeth Parva

BENGALURU: A 29-year-old man, an ardent fan of the late actor Puneeth Rajkumar, died after cardiac arrest at his house, while watching ‘Puneeth Parva’, the pre-release event of Gandhada Gudi, with his family on Friday. The incident took place on Malleswaram Link Road in the city.

The deceased was identified as Giriraj, an employee of a private finance company. He went to the bathroom around 10.30 pm and collapsed there. He was taken to K C General Hospital in Malleshwaram, but he enroute.  Giriraj was the only bread earner of the family.

Giriraj’s mother Jayyamma is crying on body and family were in grief.

Giriraj cried while watching the ‘Puneeth Parva’ event and appreciated Puneeth’s personality.

Giriraj’s family members and relatives are under deep grief

Giriraj’s father Venkatesh said, “Giriraj liked Appu the most. He used to worship the late Puneeth Rajkumar every day. He was very emotional after watching the pre-release event of the movie. He was always sad about Appu’s sudden demise as he was a kind-hearted person. He blamed fate for Appu’s death and used to say everyone should be like Appu. We also tried to console him. Moreover, he had dinner from mother’s hand, as was his desire. Giriraj met the actor two or three times. He seemed very upset after Puneeth’s demise.”
