BENGALURU: In a significant move to reduce pressure on groundwater, the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has introduced the ‘Sanchari Cauvery’ scheme. Under this scheme, apartments are now allowed to book bulk water supplies through tankers.
The booking process involves:
– A minimum one-month advance payment is required.
– Bulk booking ensures continuous water supply.
– Booking can be done for a period of one year.
This initiative aims to reduce dependence on groundwater and maintain water balance in the city.
Apartment complexes can now book drinking water tankers for their annual needs, providing a convenient and reliable option.
