MANGALURU: Amidst the ongoing exhumation in connection with the alleged mass burial of hundreds of bodies at Dharmasthala forest area, another individual has approached the SIT claiming a girl’s body was buried without following due process.

Social activist Jayant T has filed a complaint with the SIT, claiming that he witnessed the discovery of a young girl’s body 15 years ago, which was buried without following proper legal procedures in the Dharmasthala forest area.

He said that the memory of the incident has haunted him, and the recent formation of the SIT has prompted him to come forward with the complaint.

Jayant T claimed to know the exact location where the girl was buried and said is willing to show it to the SIT. He said he is more confident now after seeing the SIT officers and added that he had kept quiet over the incident at that time and did not complain to the police.

He described the body as being in a partially decomposed state and expressed uncertainty about whether it was a murder or another cause of death. His testimony could potentially aid in the investigation into the alleged mass burial case.
