Another KFD case detected in Chikkamagalu’s NR Pura taluk

CHIKKAMAGALUR: A 30-year-old man from Kattinmane village in NR Pura taluk has tested positive for Kyasanur Forest Disease (KFD), also known as monkey fever.

He is currently undergoing treatment at the Koppa government hospital’s KFD ward. This brings the total number of confirmed cases to two. Another person from the same area is undergoing treatment at Manipal Hospital for a different illness.

Health officials have visited the village, inspecting the area and advising residents on maintaining cleanliness to prevent the spread of the disease.
