Anganwadi worker inflicts burns on 2.5-year-old boy, puts chilli powder into diaper

The boy had a burn injury on the hand and chilli powder was found in his diaper.

RAMANAGARA: An anganwadi worker allegedly inflicted burns on a 2.5-year-old boy and put chilli powder in his diaper as the child was being stubbon, at Maharajakatte village in Kanakapura taluk two days ago.

The victim Deekshit is the son of Ramesh and Chaitra from the same village. The anganwadi worker Chandramma had inflicted burns on the child’s arm. The parents came to know about it when they went to pick up the child from the anganwadi centre and have lodged a complaint with the Kanakapura Town police.

Elsewhere, a woman died after she was run over by a KSRTC bus near an underpass of the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway close to Basavanapura in Ramanagara taluk. The victim was identified as Roopa (29) of Yerehalli village.

Roopa was travelling on a motorcycle along with her husband and child when the vehicle skidded and she came under a bus. The husband and child survived with minor injuries. The Ramanagara traffic police visited the spot and have registered a case.
