BENGALURU: Actor Sumalatha Ambareesh and family members performed puja at the Ambareesh memorial at the Kanteerava Studios on the occasion of Rebel Star Ambareesh’s 73rd birth anniversary. Fans gathered at the studios to pay their respects. Producer Rockline Venkatesh also participated in the birth anniversary event.
Sumalatha Ambareesh said, “Today is a special day, and I am happy to see so many fans gathered here. Ambareesh loved spending time with his friends and family. He was a happy soul and celebrate everyday. He spent time with his friends, and every day was a new day for him. He had faith in God, but rarely went to the temple. He loves children, and if he were alive, he would be happy with his grandson. He had a strong connection with his fans, and I am glad to see that connection still exists”.
Despite maintaining distance from Sumalatha, actor Darshan doesn’t forget to wish Ambareesh. Darshan, who considers Ambareesh as his mentor, posted a heartfelt message on social media, saying, “Even though you’re not physically here with us today, your legacy lives on in our hearts. Your life lessons, your love, and your art will always be remembered. We’re forever grateful for your contributions to Kannada cinema and society. We love you, Rebel Star”.
