Airhostess falls to death from Koramangala apartment, police detain boyfriend

Archana Dhiman fell to her death from the fourth floor of an apartment in Koramangala on Friday night.

BENGALURU: An airhostess with an international airline died after she fell from the fourth floor of an apartment building in Koramangala on Friday night. However, it is not clear if she committed suicide, or whether it an accident or if she was pushed to her death.

Archana Dhiman (28), who hails from Himachal Pradesh, had met Adesh, a techie with Capgemini in Bengaluru who hails from Mangaluru, on a dating app. Four days ago, she arrived in Bengaluru to meet him at Renuka Residency Apartment in Koramangala 8th Block.

On Friday night, both went to Forum Mall and returned after watching a movie. They partied late into the night and got into an argument. Later, Archana fell from the fourth floor and died.

Archana’s boyfriend Adesh has been detained, said DCP C K Baba.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) C K Baba said, “They were in a relationship for the last six months and some differences has cropped up between them. Four days ago, Archana arrived in Bengaluru and the two spent time together. While partying, they argued again over their differences and she fell to her death from the fourth floor. Adesh has been detained and further investigation is under way”.

The parents of the woman have been informed and they are expected to arrive in Bengaluru soon. Based on their complaint, an FIR will be registered and further investigation taken up, the DCP said.
