CHAMARAJANAGAR: An aged and infirm woman presented herself before the Office of Sub-Divisional and Sub-Divisional Magistrates in Kollegal even as she was lying in her bed, in connection with a property dispute.
Mumtaz Begum (75), has alleged that her son Abdul Razak aka Siddique had cheated her of her 3,28 acres of land, left behind for her by her late husband. Razak took her signatures and thumb impression on the pretext of getting her passport done for Haj pilgrimage. He also faked the family tree, she claimed.
Mumtaz presented herself before the magistrate with the help of her daughter C N Noor Ayesha and others. On seeing the condition of the woman, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Gita Huded did not conduct the hearing.
