HUBBALLI: A 67-year-old elderly woman was denied a hospital bed at KIMS Hospital in the city on Wednesday.
Chennavva of Kundagol taluk had gone to the KIMS hospital in Hubballi for treatment, but the doctors treated Chennavva even as she was sitting on the floor since she was not allotted a bed. During the treatment, even a drip stand was not provided for the intravenous injection and her relatives held the bottle in hand.
Citizens have expressed outrage against the KIMS hospital for ill-treating senior citizens, and questioned why the doctors neglected the senior citizen. Even though the government is making a lot of efforts to make Hubballi a world-class city, the hospital authorities are bringing shame to the city by treating patients badly, they said.
