BENGALURU: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police is on the lookout for history-sheeter ‘Silent’ Sunil after he showed up at a blood donation camp organised at Chamarajpet in the city on Sunday.
The CCB police dispatched three special teams to look for ‘Silent’ Sunil after the media highlighted his public appearance. The police have conducted a search operation at his Amruthahalli apartment, in a park, at his friend’s house and in other parts of the city.
Police source said that no notice is given history-sheeters. At present, they are not investigating any cases against ‘Silent’ Sunil and they won’t be sending any notice to attend any inquiry. When the police traced his mobile phone location, they learnt that he was using his wife’s phone.
“If the CCB police send a notice to ‘Silent’ Sunil to attend an inquiry, he will attend it at the respective police station. It is not possible to attend the hearing without giving prior notice. He did not escape anywhere. On Sunday, he went out at the same time when police conducted a search operation. He is now away on personal work. Let the police issue a notice as per court order and then he will appear in front of the police”, said Pramod Chandra, ‘Silent’ Sunil’s lawyer.
‘Silent’ Sunil attended a blood donation camp and was seen on stage with some political leaders of the ruling BJP. He has had political connections since 2012 and police say they have information that the history-sheeter is now into real estate and garbage tenders. Recently, a politician got a garbage tender for more than 100 wards, and word is that 10 of these wards are managed by ‘Silent’ Sunil.
