BENGALURU: With the Aero India-2023 air show set to kick off from February 13, the Health and Family Welfare Department has made all arrangements to handle any emergencies.
The international air show will be held at the Air Force Station, Yelahanka, and will be on till February 17. During the days of the air show, there will be 30 emergency teams a doctor, nursing staff, pharmacist and assistant along with an ambulance. While 10 teams will be on site, the remaining 20 teams will be off site. In all, there will be 70 doctors, 80 paramedical staff, 27 medical assistants.
The department will station 45 ambulances and, in association with private hospitals, 1,928 beds will be reserved for emergencies, including 750 in government hospitals.
The medical staff from Bengaluru Rural, Chikkaballapur and Kolar districts have already conducted mock drills on February 8, 9 and 10 and have been instructed to remain on standby.
