Adichunchanagiri Mutt buys 20 acres of land in New Jersey for temple, cultural facilities

BENGALURU: The Adichunchanagiri Mutt has purchased 20 acres of land in Franklin Township, New Jersey, USA. Currently, it has a 5,000 sqft building where all activities such as yoga, meditation and discourses are conducted on a regularly basis.

As phase-1 of the project Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji’s vision of building a Kalabhairaveswara temple, residences for priests, cultural facilities is becoming a reality. The construction has begun under the leadership of Dr Amarnath Gowda, Dr Babu Keelara and many others, a statement said.

Dr Babu Keelara, who is a Chief Engineer at a large infrastructure design and engineering firm in the USA, has led the design, environmental permits and construction. Nirmalanandanatha Swami is visiting New Jersey to supervise, guide, and attend meetings with local officials and address all Indians in the US. The phase one of the project is $10 million.
