BENGALURU: The news of actress and politician Bhavana Ramanna becoming a mother is spreading widely on social media. She is now six months pregnant with twins, conceived through IVF. This has led to mixed reactions on social media.
Bhavana recently shared an official statement on her Instagram account, addressing various concerns and questions about her decision. She didn’t feel the need for motherhood in her 20s or 30s, but as she turned 40, she could not forego the desire anymore, she explained.
As a single woman, the journey wasn’t easy. Many IVF centres rejected her request, but she found support with Dr Sushma, who helped her conceive in the first attempt.

“My father, siblings, and loved ones stood by me with pride and love. Some questioned my choice, but, in my mind, I was ready for anything”, she said. Bhavana acknowledges that her children might not have a father, but they will grow up in a home filled with art, music, culture and unconditional love. “They will be raised with kindness, confidence, and pride”, she said.
Bhavana chose this path not to rebel, but to respect her truth. She hopes her story inspires other single women to believe in themselves. Soon, two little souls will call her “Mom”, and that’s all that will matter, she noted.
