CHIKKABALLAPUR: Actor Ragini Dwivedi has spoken out on the Cauvery river water sharing issue with Tamil Nadu, in Chikkaballapur on Tuesday.
“We don’t have water to drink, then how can Cauvery water be released to Tamil Nadu at this point of time”, she questioned while talking to the media.
“I am always ready for the Cauvery fight. Water is important for farmers, if there are farmers, only then we have our lives”, she said. “Our farmers are in trouble, so how can we keep quiet?” she asked.
“Karnataka is our home, our farmers’ welfare comes first. Sandalwood will always be with farmers. My individual support is always there for farmers. I will support the statewide bandh on Friday, if needed. Many actors from the film industry have already extended support”, Ragini added.
Many other actors including Kiccha Sudeep, Darshan, Raghavendra Rajkumar, Dhruva Sarja have raised voices over the Cauvery issue.
