HASSAN: Film actor Ninasam Ashwath was arrested by the Hassan police in a cheque bounce case. The actor was released after he pleaded guilty before the judge in court and paid 25 per cent of the dues.
Actor Ashwath bought cattle from Rohit of Hassan and gave him a cheque Rs 1.5 lakh. When Rohit deposited the cheque in the bank, the cheque bounced. Rohit Hassan then filed a case in the JMFC court and the court issued arrest warrant four times against Ashwath.
Actor Ashwath did not attend even once and was arrested and produced before the judge on Saturday night by Hassan Layout police based on an arrest warrant.
Ashwath pleaded guilty before the judge and said that he would pay 25 per cent of the money following which he was released him on bail. He sought some more time to pay the rest of the amount to Rohit, District Superintendent of Police Hariram Shankar said.
