BENGALURU: Sandalwood actor-director Tharun Sudhir got married to actress Sonal Monteiro at a grand wedding ceremony that was attended by some of the biggest names in Sandalwood film industry on Sunday.
The wedding ceremony of Tarun-Sonal held at Purnima Palace, Bengaluru at the 10.50 am muhurta.
Political dignitaries, other celebrities from the film industry also attended the wedding .
The couple looked gorgeous in their wedding outfit. They seemed to be complementing each other in red-white-hued outfits.
Sonal was looking gorgeous as she was wearing a golden-coloured saree with red blouse with rich embroidery that complemented her attire. She completed the look with traditional jewellery.
Matching her attire, Tharun wore a golden kurta and the same colour dhoti, looked even more handsome with a Mysore silk red-colour turban with gold border, which gave off perfect wedding vibes.
A lavish wedding reception was held on August 10. Another traditional Christian wedding will be held in Mangaluru following the traditional Hindu wedding.
Tharun Sudhir and Sonal Monteiro met on the sets of ‘Roberrt’. The 2021 Kannada film was directed by Tharun Sudhir. In the movie, Sonal played the role of Thanu.
Talking to the media during this wedding celebration, Tharun said, “New life, new vigour. After waiting for so long, God has given the best. Many people came and blessed us”.
Tharun remembering Darshan’s absence at his wedding, said while shedding tears that Darshan’s plan to attend the wedding could not materialise and regretted his absence. “The wedding date was confirmed before preparing the invitation. Darshan told me not to change the date. So I have given the date of August 11. As he said, we got married”.
Tarun Sudhir got emotional, saying that he felt sad over Darshan’s absence.
