BENGALURU: Sandalwood actor Dhruva Sarja’s manager Ashwin was arrested by the Banashankari police in an assault case which took place recently. He is since out on bail. The victim in the case is another close associate of the actor and gym trainer, Prashanth Poojary.
On the night of May 26, Poojary was attacked after he left Dhruva Sarja’s home. A complaint was lodged at the Banashankari police station who had arrested Harsha, Subhash and the actor’s former car driver Nagendra. During investigation, the police found out that the attack was carried out on the instigation of Ashwin following which he was arrested 10 days ago and later released on bail.
Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda said so far four people have been arrested in the case. “The attack was carried out due to personal reasons. Both Ashwin and Pradeep were vying to be close to Dhruva Sarja. Ashwin and Nagendra hired two people to assault Prashanth”, he said.
Nagendra, who hails from Kanakapura, got Harsha and Subhash, also from the same place, to carry out the attack on Prashanth Poojary. Investigation revealed that Ashwin was the man behind the attack.
Meanwhile, Dhruva Sarja is busy with the shoot of ‘KD-The Devil’. He had even gifted a high-end SUV to Ashwin on the latter’s birthday and treated Prashanth like a brother. This led to jealousy, sources said.
