BENGALURU: Celebrities have expressed their dissatisfaction with the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) over its failure to clear garbage and fill potholes. They have made videos highlighting the seriousness of the problems faced by people.
Sandalwood actor Anirudh has made a video about the potholes on Kanakapura Road, expressing his discontentment with it condition. “There are potholes on the two sides of the road for two kilometers. I request that authorities concerned fill potholes and repair the road as soon as possible”, he said.
Aniruddh said he had called GBA officials about the issue, but it was of no use. The GBA complaint number is temporarily out of service.
In RR Nagar, garbage is not being cleared properly and is being set on fire, causing breathing problems due to the smoke.
Actress, Aindrita Ray has expressed her frustration over the open burning of garbage near her home in R R Nagar’s Ideal Homes area, causing severe breathing difficulties. Despite informing Greater Bengaluru Authority(GBA) officials, no action has been taken, she said.
Aindrita shared a video on Instagram showing garbage being burned in an open field close to residential areas, causing thick smoke to fill her home. She stated that the situation has been ongoing for three days and she’s worried about her health.

“I couldn’t breathe properly last night and almost ended up in the hospital. The situation is serious, and I’m now staying at my parents’ place”, Aindrita said.
She has tried contacting GBA’s helpline, but received no response. The video has gone viral, highlighting the seriousness of the issue. Aindritha expressed great concern about the residents suffering from respiratory problems, including asthma.
