MUMBAI: Popular television actress and casting director Aarti Harish Chandra Mittal has been arrested by Mumbai Crime Branch Unit 11, Dindoshi police, on the charge of allegedly running a prostitution racket with two models in Goregaon area on Monday. As soon as the police got the information, they caught her red-handed with the other two.
Aarti acted in many popular serials including ‘Apnapan’, and is also recognised as a casting director. In addition to these, it is said that she was engaged in prostitution in Mumbai. Aarti was later arrested by the police who contacted her in the guise of a customer.
Police officer Manoj Sutar got a clue about a prostitution racket being run by Aarti. Alerted by this information, the officer contacted Aarti to send two girl and allegedly demanded Rs 60,000. Later, the officer agreed to pay up.
Aarti herself gave a condom to the officers before going to the hotel room. It is reported that the police recorded all this and arrested Aarti. Police are gathering information about all those involved in the sex racket.
