BENGALURU: A group of 7- 8 men broke into a house and brutally assaulted a woman in the middle of the night with a bat and wicket and assaulted her husband, who tried to intervene, in Byadarahalli police station limit.

According to reports, the incident occurred after a five-year-old child from the neighbouring house accidentally spilt water from a bucket which belonged to the accused woman, Rajeshwari. This led to a heated argument between the two families on August 14. Later that night, Rajeshwari and her son, along with their friends, allegedly came to the victim’s house and attacked them.

The victims, Saumya and Gangadhar, suffered serious injuries and were forced to seek medical attention at a private hospital. The victims have alleged that the police have not taken any action against the accused despite filing a complaint.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with many calling for swift action against the perpetrators. The couple alleged that the attackers beat the child too in a fit of anger. The group also threatened their life and vandalized their house. The CCTV footage of the incident has also gone viral, showing the group of young men brutally assaulting the woman and her husband, pulling her by the hair.
