KARWAR: A truck, laden with chemicals, caught fire on National Highway-63 near Vajralli in Ankola taluk on Saturday after it collided with another truck.
The vehicle was completely gutted in the incident. The driver of the truck, luckily, is escaped unharmed. Thick smoke engulfed the area in the morning after incident.
While one truck was heading towards Ankola from Hubballi, the chemical-laden truck was heading towards Mangaluru from Hubballi. Fire Brigade, Forest department and Police arrived the spot and extinguished the fire.
