Preetam, son of former minister Veerkumar Patil, arrested in dowry harassment, murder case

CHIKKODI: The Pune police have arrested Preetam, son of former minister Veerkumar Patil, in connection with a dowry harassment and murder case.

Preetam, who is a close aide of Minister Satish Jarkiholi, has been arrested for allegedly providing shelter and financial assistance to the main accused in the case, the victim Vaishnavi’s father-in-law Rajendra and brother-in-law Sushil.

The Vaishnavi Hagavane dowry harassment and murder case has created a stir in Maharashtra, with the accused being leaders of Ajit Pawar’s faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
