BENGALURU: There is Pakistan and China owned properties in Bengaluru. There are four properties worth crores of rupees owned by enemy countries. It’s hard to believe that foreigners own properties in our state, but the reality is that properties owned by residents of other countries exist even in Bengaluru.

The Bengaluru Urban district Administration has identified these properties and labeled them as “enemy properties.” The four properties in question are located in Kalasipalya, Raj Bhavan, Grant Road, and near Victoria Hospital.

 Jagadish, Deputy Commissioner, Bengaluru Urban said that, the district administration is considering auctioning these properties through e-auction to raise funds for the government. Three properties were taken into the government’s possession in 1971, and one property in 1963. One property near Kalasipalya, Raj Bhavan, Grant Road and Victoria Hospital has been identified. Three properties belong to Pakistan and one to China. There are a total of four properties in Bengaluru worth crores of rupees. If the government has suggested an auction, the district administration has considered selling the property through e-auction and adding the market value money to the government treasury.

Enemy Properties in Bengaluru

Property 1: Two properties of Joseph Rajama Zevie from Pakistan, located near Victoria Civil Station, measuring 7895 sq. ft. and 950 sq. ft., with a market value of around Rs 20 crores .

Property 2. Property of Mariyum Mirza Khaleeli from Pakistan, located on Grant Road (now UV City Road), measuring 1,23,504 sq. ft., valued at around Rs 250 crores. The property currently houses the Capitol Hotel, a petrol bunk, and a high-tech building.

Property 3. Property of Michael Thom from China, located on Grant Road (now UV City Road).

Property 4. Property of Syed Abdul Shukur S/o Syed Abdul Wahid from Pakistan, located in 2nd Main Kalasipalya, measuring 80×40, valued at around 80 lakhs.

There are 24 enemy properties in Karnataka, and the district authorities will assess the value of these properties. The district administration is waiting for instructions from the government to sell these properties, valued at crores of rupees.
