BALLARI: Two nursing mothers have died within a span of two days at the BIMS Hospital in Ballari. The family members of the deceased have alleged that the deaths were due to the negligence of the doctors.
The first incident occurred on January 5, when 25-year-old Reshma, a resident of Tekkalakote village in Siraguppa taluk, died after giving birth to a baby boy. Reshma was admitted to the hospital on January 4 and gave birth to a baby boy through cesarean section. However, she developed complications after the delivery and died on January 5.
The family members of Reshma have alleged that the doctors at the hospital were negligent in treating her. They claimed that the doctors did not provide proper treatment to Reshma and delayed her treatment, which led to her death.
In another incident, 21-year-old Mahadevi, a resident of Kulur village in Kurgod taluk, died on January 7, just two days after giving birth to a baby girl. Mahadevi’s family members have also alleged that the doctors at the hospital were negligent in treating her.
The family members of both the deceased women have demanded a proper investigation into their deaths and have alleged that the doctors at the hospital were responsible for their deaths.
