MUDA site allotment under 50:50 ratio scheme started in 2016, revaels ED probe

MYSURU: The ongoing probe by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) into the alleged site allotment scam in the Mysuru Urban Development Corporation (MUDA) has revealed corruption in the 50:50 ration site allotment scheme in 2016 itself.

As per the findings, corruption in the site allotment under the 50:50 ratio scheme could be traced back to nine years ago when Siddaramaiah was chief minister in his first term. The ED is now preparing to seize 812 mor sites allotted under the 50:50 ratio scheme.

The investigation so far has revealed that former MUDA commissioner Dinesh Kumar, during his term of 550 days in MUDA, approved the allotment of 812 sites. During 2016, when Mahesh was the commissioner, eight sites were allotted under the 50:50 ratio scheme, 10 sites in 2018 when Kantharaj was MUDA commissioner, 58 sites in 2020 when Natesh was commissioner and 812 sites in 2022 during Dinesh Kumar’s term.
